Elvis lives. Antje, like thousands of other fans of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, is convinced of that. And she wants to meet him on her sixteenth birthday. And indeed, the family has decided to spend its summer holiday in the United States. There’s only one problem: Antje, her parents and her little sister Klara are going in the wrong direction.
The fact that Nelly, Antje’s at first not much loved 'friend', is on the trip as well, only makes things worse. The Niagara Falls is one of their destinations – but Antje wants nothing so much as go to Graceland! Nelly’s sudden disappearance opens up unsuspected possibilities: Graceland seems tangibly close. And that’s where Antje heads.
»Cool, witty, intelligent and rebellious!«

»An enjoyable and fun read that’s far from normal – but what’s normal?!«
Hamburger Abendblatt (about MEIN VATER, SEIN SCHWEIN UND ICH) Reviews
»This novel comes dressed as a classic screwball comedy as have been on the rise from Hollywood since the 1940s, in which high speed and high wit collide with quirky characters to experience incredible adventures. (...) A wonderful satire on the U.S. as the country of smoking Marlboro Men, war-hungry George Bush figures and eager conspiracy theorists. Deliberately exaggerated, wired and - due to this - so incredibly worth reading.«
